I’m a 30-something year old wife of an immigrant from a Mediterranean country currently working in a bookstore in the American Midwest. I grew up learning the crafts (mostly sewing and cross-stitching) though I was never good, but shunned it in my teenage years up till a few weeks ago. Thought it was only for housewives and I didn’t want to be one. After coming back from my first visit DH’s homelandia, I decided that it’s not such a bad idea, in terms of saving money, to make cool things on my own. This is my story….
