knit a row, purl a row, and remember which row you’re on

so yesterday’s project was to knit stockinettes. you knit one row, the next row you purl, and it comes out as a v-shape design. the hardest part is to keep consistent: sometimes when i was in the middle of knitting a row would almost purl a stitch, and vice versa. but i managed it and it came out alright: it curled up a bit but it will only take practice to keep it from happening.

i have the equipment to start my first project: a scarf to go with a light coat that is green with orange lining. it’s an easy pattern from the stitch n’ bitch book called the go-go garter stitch scarf, but i’m using just two colors, “pumpkin” and “grass.” i just haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet. a little lazy & not feeling the greatest right now.
